Impact Goals
Landfills2Landmarks is committed to reducing textile waste, creating sustainable jobs, and positioning Ghana as a leader in the circular economy. By investing in recycling infrastructure, policy reforms, and green innovation, we aim to transform the textile industry into a driver of economic and environmental progress.
Establish systems and infrastructure to ensure all used textiles in Ghana are recycled, upcycled, or repurposed by 2050, with a 30% diversion milestone by 2030 and a 50% milestone by 2035. Focus on building awareness, pilot projects, and partnerships in the initial phase, while scaling up infrastructure and policies to achieve full diversion by 2050.
Foster economic growth by creating sustainable jobs in textile recycling, upcycling, and green supply chains, with 15,000 jobs achieved by 2030.
Reduce carbon emissions in Ghana’s textile sector by promoting recycling and upcycling practices, aligning with global climate action goals.
Engage communities, artisans, policymakers, and industry leaders to adopt sustainable practices and foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
