Pure Pad is a partnership programme that turns verified textile offcuts into reusable menstrual pads. It is delivered by community-led micro-entities, including women’s groups, churches, and cooperatives, with support from international experts.

Landfills2Landmarks convenes partners, sets standards, develops training materials, and records outcomes through CremeXchange. Production and distribution remain with local entities that operate as independent businesses.

Community enterprises are trained through a fellowship model, source inputs from documented textile streams, and follow agreed specifications for quality. Outreach takes place through schools, clinics, and church networks. Results are logged in CremeXchange to provide transparent indicators for partners.

The project creates employment at community level, expands access to reusable pads, and demonstrates how circular textile recovery can deliver both social and economic value.

  • Community groups and churches — host or operate a hub
  • Funders — support training cohorts and equipment
  • Buyers — including government, schools, health providers, and community programmes that procure certified pads for distribution
